Ryan Johnson is a two-time Canadian Olympian and longtime member of the Momentum coaching team. One of Canada’s top mogul skiers of his generation, Ryan represented Canada at both the 1998 Nagano and 2002 Salt Lake City Olympic Games, finishing an impressive 7th in the world on both occasions.
During his competitive career, Ryan was a regular on the World Cup circuit, earning four World Cup medals, including two victories. Since stepping away from competition, he has remained deeply involved in skiing as a coach and mentor, sharing the experience and knowledge gained from years competing at the sport’s highest level.
Ryan has been part of the Momentum family for many years and is a favourite with our campers for his relaxed style, technical knowledge and ability to make skiing better while keeping the day fun. He also knows Whistler Blackcomb exceptionally well and brings the kind of local mountain knowledge that can turn a good ski day into a great one.
We’re excited to have Ryan back on the coaching team for Whistler Week.
