WINTER COVID-19 UPDATE

Winter Camp Covid-19 Safety

We will be following all provincial, municipal and Whistler/Blackcomb guidelines in order to operate as safely as possible this winter.

  • Camp participant and Staff Guidelines:
    • All participants are required to wear face coverings at the resort when in gondolas and inside restaurants and whenever it is not possible to maintain a two metre distance from unknown parties. When physical distancing is possible, such as riding on trails, participants may remove their face coverings. We recommend you still wear your masks in the lift lines.
    • Masks must consist of appropriate construction with at least two layers of opaque fabric without valves.  A three-layer mask with a polypropylene mid-layer is recommended.
    • Do not touch your face and wash your hands with soap for 20 seconds or hand-sanitize your hands frequently and always before and after eating or drinking. Do not shake hands or hug.
    • Do not share ski equipment, tools, food or drinks.
    • If you do need to cough or sneeze do so away from other people and into your elbow.
    • Note that if you are feeling unwell you must let camp staff know right away, wash your hands and wear a mask immediately. Call 604 905 8244 or 604 932 7689.
    • Do not take acetaminophen or ibuprofin right away, which may mask symptoms. Symptoms are fever/chills, cough, sore throat, or if more serious can also include shortness of breath, loss of taste and aching joints. Call 811 to get a phone assessment or 911 if you experience severe symptoms and have trouble breathing.
    • Our staff have the right to refuse to coach or ask participants who do not follow our covid safety protocols or display known symptoms, to leave the clinic.
    • If a participant feels sick during the clinic, they will be sent home immediately and asked to contact 8-1-1 or a doctor for further guidance.
    • All staff members will also be required to abide by these guidelines.
